History

In early 2016, a plan was taken to establish an IT club at Dhaka Residential Model College, which would help thousands of students build their future careers by improving their skills in information technology. The initiative aimed to improve students' technical skills and unleash their creativity. In early 2017, the foundation for the IT club and the necessary logistical activities began. Under the inspiration and leadership of Associate Professor Akhtar Jahan Ferdousi Banu, Head of the college's ICT Department and the club's founding moderator, the club's structure developed rapidly. With her relentless efforts and the support of the college authorities, the DRMC IT Club was officially established on February 22, 2017. Then, on Monday morning, July 31, 2017, the club was officially inaugurated with a colorful ceremony. Respected teachers, officials, and students attended the inauguration ceremony. The Honorable Principal of the college, Brigadier General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan, attended as the chief guest. Since its establishment, the DRMC IT Club has undertaken various programs to involve students in IT-related activities. The club has established itself by participating in national and international competitions and plays an important role in enhancing students' skills in the technology sector. The club aims not only to increase the IT knowledge of students, but also to develop their innovative thinking and take their technical capabilities to the best level in the country. With this ambition, the DRMC IT Club has been formed and is moving forward with the expectation of becoming the best IT club in the country in the future.
